Oh, the lovely details of places we go to, the environment we happened to be in, the things that we come across regularly. There are beauty and inspiration in ordinary places, things, spaces, people. We scan a place and take our first glances. But when we slow down, put on our Sherlock Holmes cap, and take a few closer looks, we can discover inspiration and a true eye candy. We will notice interesting color combinations, style combinations, and inspiring details that are not obvious at the first glance.
I'm sharing a couple lovely details from Houston. Eye-catching red gerberas at Cafe Brazil. This place has always amazing flower decorations as a bonus to delicious food, pastries, and desserts. My favorites are their scones and vegan flour less chocolate cookie.
Native Citizen in Montrose is another place I love to visit and enjoy their great eye for flower decorations. In the picture slide above, I'm featuring fancy and fashionable coral gillyflowers. And not only will you be intrigued by the flower decor. This eclectic design and art store offers numerous opportunities to get inspired while browsing around. If you like eclectic style with touches of mid-century modern and industrial rustic influence, you arrived at the right terminal. While you will find yourself surrounded by wood and metal pieces for your home, office or restaurant/coffee shop business, this place is softened with glamorous art by Edgar Medina. His art is captivating not only because of Edgar's deep talent, but also because of the story of Edgar's work, his commitment and giving back to the Houston's community.
Another place with flowery spirit is Pondicheri. This Indian-fusion gem located in West Ave Houston always inspires me with their creative approach to different containers and vases they put flowers in. The picture with yellow tops was taken at the new Bake Lab, which is an extension of the Pondicheri restaurant. The Bake Lab is a cozy place above the restaurant. It locks you in with fantastic assortment of pastries, desserts, juices, sandwiches and ... Crack Balls. Yes, those. You have to try them. They will blow your taste buds away :) The Lab also offers Indian-inspired beauty products and books as well.
